A Colorful Desert Family Session | The Klein & Yandre Families
Alli and Mariah booked a joint family session with me and showed up in the most amazing colorful color palette for their desert family session. These two girls are best friends, so are their husbands, and their kids are growing up alongside each other. It was so precious documenting their lives and the stage each of their children are in.
The parents embraced the joy in the chaos and it was pure magic during their session. I absolutely love how everything turned out. We got a sweet “everyone smile at the camera photo”, and then we had fun. I think it is so important for your children to see you having fun during your family session. Let’s not pretend our children are calm, cool, and collected at all times. You may have one that is, but I know my son is full on toddler mode right now and during our entire fall family session just kept saying, “down, down, down”. (Cannot wait to share those with you!)
But I think that is what I love so much about Alli and Mariah’s session. The innocence in their children’s portraits. Emmy running wild and free, Lilly drawing in the dirt, Parker being the sweetest big brother, and baby Maison giving us all the sweet smiles. They each perfectly embodied and displayed their personalities at this stage in their life, and isn’t that what we want preserved in the first place? Sure that smile at the camera photo is great, I want one every session too, but nail that first and then just have fun. I promise your kids will love family photo sessions way more every. single. time.
