A Colorful Wedding at The Andaz Scottsdale | Cortni & Austin
I celebrated the most colorful wedding at The Andaz in Scottsdale, Arizona last fall for high school sweethearts Cortni and Austin. It was the most magical day with colorful florals, gorgeous details, and the sweetest couple. Cortni planned her destination wedding from Cleveland, Ohio to be at The Andaz Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. Now the reason she chose The Andaz is something so special, so let me give you a little backstory!
Austin graduated from his doctorate program in March of 2020 and they planned a trip to Bali to celebrate. (Best graduation gift ever!) Well we all know what happened in March of 2020, so plans changed! Austin pivoted the change and planned a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. The two would celebrate at The Andaz instead!
They went to celebrate Austin’s graduation, but Austin wanted to also celebrate more. Austin planned his proposal to Cortni with the Andaz staff. Their restaurant on property was closed due to the circumstances and so Austin was able to reserve the restaurant for just the two of them. They had an incredible seven course meal prepared by two of the chefs on staff. Right before dessert, Austin asked Cortni to marry him! Cortni said is was the most incredibly special and intimate night for the two of them. They spent the rest of the week celebrating together!
So, now that you know a little backstory, you now know why it was the most perfect place for the two to say “I do”! With eight of their family members, Cortni and Austin had an intimate dinner and ceremony. It was truly so special to be a part of and capture. Cortni made every guest feel welcome with custom welcome bags when they arrived on property. They also had the week to celebrate at the resort with a cabana and the pool! I mean what a dream week it was for the eight of their guests and them!
Cortni designed her whole wedding from the florals, to the tablescape, and each special thought out detail. I was in heaven capturing her vision. Every vendor she chose executed her vision beautifully and it was truly a dream come true. Cortni and Austin also were very passionate about spending majority of their photography time on couples portraits. Honestly, I wish I had this much time with all of my couples! You’ll see in this blog post how many incredible portraits we were able to capture of the two of them. (& This isn’t even all of them!) It was such a joyful time celebrating Cortni and Austin and documenting their love story.
