Their rainy desert engagement session was like a scene straight out of The Notebook. The day before Alycia and Kyle’s engagement session I sent a message to Alycia letting her know that some surprise rain was in the forecast for their sunrise session. She chatted it over with Kyle and they decided they still wanted to roll with their original session date and time. That morning I woke up it was cloudy, but no rain. I was hopeful, but I packed my clear umbrellas just in case and headed out to their session.
The closer I got to our location, the darker the clouds. When I arrived about five minutes out the rain started to pour. The rain was pouring harder and harder as I drove closer. When I arrived on site, it wasn’t letting up. Alycia and Kyle pull up and are ready to embrace the rain with the best attitudes and smiles on their faces! I handed them an umbrella, Kyle was such a gentleman and held it over Alycia’s head. He walked through the rain with just his cowboy hat. We walked over to our location and they dropped the umbrella. My eyes got big, “are you sure you don’t want to keep that for your photos?” “No”, they said with big smiles on their faces still. They wanted to embrace the rain and just have fun. I loved it!
They climbed on wet rocks, snuggled in close as rain poured down off Kyle’s cowboy hat, and danced in the rain. It was a dream come true, a real life love story just like The Notebook. Counting down the days to their wedding was not a hard task, I could not wait! I just delivered their gallery to them today. I cannot wait to get it up on the blog for you to see!
